各位師長您好 Dear Professors,
為推動國際化，國際處辦理碩/博外籍學位生教學助理獎助活動，讓外籍碩博士生協助以全英語授課的師長們課程教學相關事務，擔任教學助理的外籍學生更能獲得每學期2萬元的獎助學金！To promote globalization, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) is organizing the “International Graduate Student TA-ship” program. This initiative aims to support professors teaching fully English-taught courses by involving international Master's and Ph.D. students as Teaching Assistants (TAs). Qualified TAs will receive a scholarship of NTD 20,000 per semester.
 
★活動流程Application Process:
l   我想要TA，但沒有人選 I need a TA but don’t have a candidate：請於 即日起至2/14 填寫TA需求調查表單 (https://forms.gle/vffLdLngUia3M31G7)，表明您要找TA協助的課程資訊、對TA的條件要求 (如科系、語言能力、人格特質等) 國際處會將您的課程資訊及條件轉達給學生，若有學生想擔任您的TA，由您進行面試或後續接洽，確認人選後再請學生於 2/17-2/24 期間至國際處官網線上系統申請。Please complete the TA Recruitment Form (https://forms.gle/vffLdLngUia3M31G7) before February 14, to share the details of the course requiring assistance and your desired qualifications for a TA (e.g., department, language proficiency, personality traits). OIA will relay this information to interested students. Professors can conduct interviews or follow-up discussions with potential candidates. Once a TA is selected, they must submit their application via OIA’s online system within the same period.
l   我已經有想要的TA人選 I already have a TA candidate in mind：若您已有屬意人選，您不必填表單，直接請您選定的TA人選於 2/17-2/24 期間至國際處官網線上系統申請。If you have a preferred candidate, there is no need to fill out the form. l   待學生申請完畢後，國際處將會統一於 2/25-2/27 寄送確認信給您，由您檢視申請學生與課程資訊是否正確，若無誤，則請按下確認即可。After the application deadline, OIA will review all submissions and send confirmation emails to professors between February 25 and February 27. Professors must verify the information and confirm or report any discrepancies. 
l   待老師審核完畢後，將由國際處進行最終審核，並於 3/7 公布受獎者名單。Once professors have approved the applications, OIA will conduct the final review. The list of scholarship recipients will be announced on March 7.
 
★申請資格Eligibility：
l 本活動僅供開設全英語課程 (以教務處課程系統授課語言為準) 之教師申請，通識課、實驗課、系所課程、實習課等皆可申請，不限制課程人數。短期課程不得申請。Only fully English-taught courses are eligible, including general education, laboratory, departmental, and internship courses. Short-term courses are not eligible. There is no restriction on the number of students enrolled in the course.
l 須為碩/博士班外籍學生方能擔任本獎助學金之教學助理。Only international Master’s or Ph.D. students are eligible to apply as TAs for this scholarship.
l 領有教育部/外交部/科技部之臺灣獎學金、教育部菁英獎學金、ICDF獎學金者不得申請。Students receiving MOE, MOFA, MOST, or ICDF scholarships are NOT eligible.
l 若領有興大外籍學生獎學金之學生可以申請。Students on NCHU’s International Student Scholarship are eligible.
l 獲獎學生須完成雙語教學TA知能研習方能領取獎學金 (國際處會發信通知受獎學生研習時間)。Scholarship recipients must complete Bilingual Teaching TA Training Workshop before receiving the scholarship (OIA will send an email to notify scholarship recipients of the workshop schedule).
 
★注意事項：
因名額有限，若申請人數超過名額上限，國際處將依下列順位排序，於限制名額內核給，以一位老師一門課一位TA為原則。If the number of applications exceeds the available quota, the following priority criteria will apply:
l 第一順位First Priority:：
未領取任何獎學金之新進外籍學生。Newly enrolled international students who have not received any scholarships.
l 第二順位Second Priority：
其他年級且未領取中興獎學金者 Students from other grades who have not received the NCHU Scholarship.。
l 第三順位Third Priority：
其他符合申請條件之學生，以選課人數較多之班別所需TA優先(以50名為上限，得不足額錄取)。惟該次核給結果剩餘名額達1/5以上時，惟經國際長同意核給開第二門課的老師屬意之優秀TA，仍依前開順位比序擇優錄取，以鼓勵教師多開設英語課程。Other eligible students, prioritizing TAs for courses with larger enrollments. If more than 1/5 of the quota remains unallocated, with approval from the Senior Vice President for International Affairs, an additional course may be assigned a preferred outstanding TA selected by the instructor. The selection will still follow the above priorities to encourage faculty to offer more English-taught courses.
 
★TA的職責工作TA’s Duties：
l 協助教師考試評分 Assisting professors with grading exams and assignments.
l 教材準備 Preparing course materials.
l 準時出席課程 Attending classes punctually.
l 帶領小組討論 Leading group discussions.
